We are expanding our staff in our Houston, Texas location and seek the following candidate. This position will report to a Principal, Managing Director or designee level staff member within our Building Envelope division and will involve a variety of general functions, including but not limited to:

1. Well-versed in all phases of exterior wall construction projects.
2. Successful completion and history of managing projects and deliverables.
3. Conduct project level review and progress with Project Managers on designated assignments.
4. Review written reports and documents on project-related activity.
5. Maintain updated knowledge of building codes in local markets.
6. Assess technical needs on projects and request support for work requirements.
7. Communicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job-related management teams.
8. Break down technical needs/deliverables and assist in managing budgetary requirements related to assigned projects.
9. Provide visibility to Principal in charge of status, timelines, key concerns.
10. Assist in billing review and collections where necessary.
11. Provide manpower updates and resource availability.
12. Participate in corporate initiatives and associate level meetings to determine future protocol and/or procedures.
13. Assist Principal in charge with new proposal estimates.
14. Assist Principal in charge in solicitation of new business.
15. Respond and effectively communicate to clients when project emergencies arise.
16. Publish and/or participate in industry outreach or speaking engagements.
17. Present in-house seminars or related topics periodically.
18. Manage staff or team and provide an atmosphere consistent with mentoring.
19. Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years working with building envelope project experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering (Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineers, etc.).
• Registered Architect or Professional Engineer status required.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent PC computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word or suitable document writing programs.
• Must demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic team environment, to think outside the box, and solve complex problems.
• Ability to be detail-oriented as well as see the bigger picture.
