Fendi’s flagship on Avenue Montaigne in Paris seeks a Store Director to helm business and client experience at a premier luxury location. You will lead with an entrepreneurial mindset, drive commercial performance, and elevate the client journey while upholding Fendi’s heritage and craftsmanship.

You will coach a high-performing team, cultivate lasting client relationships, and ensure operational excellence and CRM-driven growth in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior retail management experience in luxury
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a proven ability to drive performance and targets
  • Exceptional communication, selling and relationship-building skills
  • Inspirational leadership style with accountability and professionalism
  • Impeccable personal presentation and luxury service standards

As Store Director of Fendi’s iconic Avenue Montaigne flagship, you embody the Maison’s vision at one of its most prestigious locations. You lead the business with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and exceptional team leadership while bringing Fendi’s values and culture to life.

You are responsible for accelerating business growth and achieving ambitious targets by cultivating lasting client relationships and elevating the client experience. Through compelling storytelling and a deep appreciation of Fendi’s heritage, exceptional craftsmanship, material excellence, and distinctive creative vision, you inspire meaningful connections between our clients and the Maison.

Job responsibilities

Business & Commercial Leadership

  • Drive store performance and achieve ambitious business objectives through effective KPI management and commercial action plans.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate growth across categories, leveraging cross-selling, client development and a strong understanding of the local market.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, inspiring the team to deliver outstanding commercial results.
  • Continuously elevate store performance through data-driven insights, including Mystery Shopper results and client feedback.

Client Experience & Relationship Building

  • Champion an exceptional and consistently elevated client experience, in line with FENDI’s luxury standards.
  • Develop a strong and loyal FENDI clientele through impactful CRM, clienteling, personalised engagement and exclusive in-store experiences.
  • Act as a FENDI ambassador, building lasting relationships with VIC.
  • Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and accountability.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance and provide continuous coaching and feedback to maximise individual and collective potential.
  • Attract, onboard and develop talent in partnership with HR, ensuring a strong culture of learning and progression.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure the highest standards across store operations, stock management, administration, internal controls and compliance.
  • Optimise team organisation and staffing to ensure seamless store performance and an exceptional client experience.
  • Ensure Visual Merchandising and the overall store environment consistently reflect FENDI’s image and commercial priorities.
  • Maintain rigorous cost awareness and operational efficiency while safeguarding the standards of the Maison.
Profile
  • 10+ years of proven experience in a senior retail management role, ideally within luxury.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to drive performance, develop business and achieve ambitious targets.
  • Exceptional communication, selling and relationship-building skills, with a natural ability to engage and inspire clients and teams.
  • Inspirational leadership style, combining confidence, emotional intelligence, professionalism and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and a genuine understanding of luxury service standards.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and financial skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering elevated and memorable client experiences.
  • Digital fluency and solid knowledge of retail management systems.
  • Results-oriented, adaptable and able to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong affinity with, and knowledge of, the fashion and luxury industry.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are highly valued.
The FendiMaison was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. The opening of the first Fendiboutique – a handbag shop and fur workshop followed. Soon winning international acclaim, Fendi emerged as a brand renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation and style.Called by the legendary five Fendi sisters, the collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld began back in 1965 and lasted 54 years. In 1992, Silvia Venturini Fendi seconded him in the Artistic Direction; in 1994, she is given the direction of Accessories and later of Menswear.In 2000, the LVMH group acquires Fendi becoming in 2001 its majority shareholder. Appointed in 2020, Kim Jones held the role of Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear until 2024. Since 2020, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, fourth generation of the Fendi family, is Artistic Director of Jewellery. Today Fendi is synonymous with quality, tradition, experimentation and creativity.
