Wandercraft in Paris is seeking a Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer to design, develop, and evolve our simulation environment for robotics research. You will enable control development, large-scale experimentation, and machine learning workflows, bridging algorithm development and real-world deployment while collaborating with embedded software, electronics, and mechanics teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in robotics, simulation, or related field.
• Academic or industry work in robotics simulation, ML, or optimal control is valued.
• Prototyping and rapid experimentation skills with robotics tools are highly appreciated.
• Strong background in linear algebra, kinematics, and physical modeling.
• Experience with software development practices (CI, modularity).

Responsabilités

• Develop and evolve the simulation environment to improve realism and fidelity.
• Improve simulation performance and scalability for large-scale testing and learning campaigns.
• Implement and validate parameter identification methods to improve model accuracy.
• Bridge algorithm development and real-world deployment through simulation studies.
• Collaborate with control, ML, and embedded teams to integrate simulation across workflows.
• Evaluate new simulators and simulation engines for robotics applications.
