Mistral AI in Paris is seeking a Research Engineer for the Robotics team to deploy and refine AI models for mobile manipulation on real robots. You will bridge research and real-world applications, and contribute to scalable, practical robotic systems.

You will architect data pipelines, maintain fleets of robots, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate and iterate on robotic systems in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing software for real‑world robotics applications.
• Proficient in Python with a strong software development background.
• Experience with robotic control frameworks (ROS) and sensor/actuator integration.
• Ability to design complex systems and deploy them in production.
• Self‑starter mindset with the autonomy to drive projects and collaborate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Deploy state‑of‑the‑art AI models for mobile manipulation on robots in production.
• Architect and optimize data pipelines to support training of robotics models on large datasets.
• Set up, maintain, and scale fleets of robots for reliability.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate robotic systems in real‑world conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to refine models and improve system performance.
