Lili-O in Paris is seeking a Control / Motion Engineer to own and optimize the robot control stack, from whole-body control to real-time deployment on hardware. You’ll work with the mechatronics team to ensure control performance aligns with mechanical design, aiming for robust, hardware-agnostic software across platforms.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience translating control algorithms from simulation to real robots, and a pragmatic engineering mindset to debugging on real hardware

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience taking control algorithms from simulation to real hardware.
• Experience working with mechanical/mechatronics teams and hardware constraints.
• Strong debugging mindset on real hardware, not just in simulation.

Responsabilités

• Optimize and harden the existing control stack (IK, MPC, low-level control).
• Develop and integrate a Whole Body Controller (WBC) or evaluate existing solutions.
• Deploy and validate control algorithms on real robots.
• Maintain URDF models and keep control software hardware-agnostic across platforms.
• Collaborate with mechatronics on actuator behavior, CAN, and hardware integration.
• Deploy and optimize control code on embedded targets (e.g., Jetson).
• Participate in QA: testing, validating, and debugging control on hardware before/after releases.
