KDCI Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Power Systems Engineer to provide technical and consulting support for electrical engineering projects, including generation, HV transmission, distribution, and grid connections. The role focuses on performing power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and Hypersim, and delivering engineering solutions aligned with client specifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering.
Hands-on experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim in RMS and EMT modelling environments.
Familiarity with engineering codes, regulations, industry best practices, and performance standards.
Understanding of relevant Australian Standards, statutory requirements, and technical specifications.
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills with the ability to develop cost-effective engineering solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Responsabilités

Perform and direct power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim modelling environments.
Manage the enquiry, application, registration, and/or design phases for large energy user and renewable energy projects, including HV grid connections, substation design, and generating plant power systems.
Undertake site inspections, provide technical advice, and prepare engineering reports.
Assist with planning and scheduling tasks and activities within the Electrical Engineering Team.
Develop cost-effective engineering solutions that meet project and technical requirements.
Provide engineering and technical advice to the engineering team and other project personnel involved in the execution of works.
