Job summary

Pennylane is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer — Embedded AI to turn complex accounting problems into trusted ML products used daily. You will design and ship ML systems for document understanding and classification, owning end-to-end delivery from data strategy to monitoring.

You will work closely with product squads and accounting experts, applying deterministic, classical ML, or deep learning approaches as appropriate while improving ML engineering practices and shared tooling.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in ML engineering.
• Experience building and operating ML systems at scale in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship ML systems for document understanding, extraction and classification.
• Contribute to Copilot and Autopilot experiences including Bookkeeping Autopilot and Revision Autopilot.
• Own the full lifecycle of solutions from framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Turn user corrections and production failures into better datasets and models.
• Define metrics reflecting user value: precision, recall, automation coverage, latency and cost.
