Job summary

Qonto is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to ship customer-facing AI for our 600,000+ business customers. You’ll blend GenAI with proven ML methods, embedding models into fintech services while ensuring privacy, reliability, and governance.

You will collaborate with Product, Data, and Backend teams to scale ML solutions, establish robust MLOps, and mentor peers, driving impact across Qonto’s AI engines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as an ML Engineer with ML Ops experience.
• Modelling expertise: experience building and optimizing ML models for external customers.
• Strong Python engineering: write resilient, testable code at scale; proficient with FastAPI and production DB integration.
• ML Ops fluency: familiar with tools for automated retraining, performance checks, and drift detection.
• Fluent in English: working language.
• Client-facing ML products experience and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models end-to-end—from requirements to training, evaluation and production deployment.
• Integrate ML into product ecosystem with PMs, Data Engineers, and Backend Engineers.
• Build ML Ops framework for scalable model management, drift detection, monitoring and alerts.
• Put models into production with rigorous QA and continuous monitoring for finance-related services.
• Mentor peers and share best practices across the ML team.
