Job summary

Doctolib is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the ML Engineering team in Patient Solutions. You will build AI systems that scale access to care across Europe, delivering patient-facing features from practitioner discovery to long-term care management.

You will lead design and deployment of ML solutions, with emphasis on information retrieval, hybrid search, embeddings, and agentic AI. The role requires strong production experience and English fluency, with a hybrid Paris office.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or AI Engineering.
• Strong experience in Information Retrieval and modern retrieval stacks.
• Proficient in LLM and VLM application development and benchmarking.
• Hands-on experience building orchestrated agentic AI systems (e.g., ADK).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ML and AI solutions aligned with patient product goals, covering search, retrieval, and personalized care pathways.
• Build and maintain large-scale retrieval pipelines, including hybrid search, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate LLM and VLM models using distillation, MoE, prompts, and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with ML platform team to deploy production-ready solutions with reliability and observability.
• Define metrics aligned with product goals and run controlled experiments with tools like W&B, MLFlow, Braintrust.
• Communicate findings clearly to product and engineering stakeholders.
