Netcompany in Strasbourg is seeking a Senior Operations & Application Support Engineer for a freelance, full-time role to lead major incident resolution, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions across enterprise IT environments.

The successful candidate will drive monitoring strategies, optimize capacity planning, collaborate with DevSecOps, Architecture, and DB teams, and mentor support staff while delivering reliable, scalable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in enterprise IT operations, with at least 3 years in senior operations or support.
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, Capacity).
• Strong Linux/Unix, containerized and cloud-native experience; CI/CD ecosystems.
• Observability, logging, performance monitoring and operational analytics expertise.
• Experience supporting middleware and integration tech (API mgmt, messaging, identity, web platforms).
• Proven incident management, capacity planning, risk assessment, and service improvement.
• Fluent English; French is a plus; ITIL Intermediate/MP or cloud/Kubernetes certs desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead the resolution of major incidents and complex production issues with stakeholder communication.
• Conduct root cause analyses, post-incident reviews, and implement preventive actions.
• Define and improve monitoring, observability, and support strategies for reliability.
• Drive proactive maintenance, capacity planning, and performance improvements.
• Validate deployment/testing/rollback with DevSecOps, Architecture, and DB teams.
• Prepare operational reports, trend analyses, and service improvement recommendations.
• Lead automation and efficiency initiatives via scripting and tooling.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to support teams.
