Job summary

Arkamys, founded in Paris, is seeking a seasoned paralegal/legal assistant to safeguard patents, trademarks and brand rights globally. You will work with external counsel, CFO, CEO and sales/marketing teams to understand client needs and enforce IP strategy.

Must have 5+ years in IP-focused paralegal roles, with strong drafting, deadline discipline and bilingual English/French communication. Hybrid or on-site collaboration with R&D, contracts and compliance teams is expected.

Qualifications

5+ years as a paralegal or legal assistant in IP law or corporate setting.
Hands-on IP formalities (filings, renewals, recordals) and corporate housekeeping.
A paralegal or legal-assistant qualification; a law degree is a plus but not required.
French and English at professional level, written and spoken; drafting legal correspondence in both.
Rigor with deadlines and ability to manage multiple workstreams without on-site legal manager.

Responsibilities

Secure worldwide protection of Arkamys' patents, trademarks and logos, with external counsel.
Track deadlines, annuities and renewals; keep IP docketing accurate and report coverage to management.
Follow conflicts and disputes on IP rights with external counsel, including oppositions and watch notices.
Prepare and track brand authorisation letters for partners and customers using Arkamys brands.
Handle recordals: assignments, ownership changes, licences.
Support the invention disclosure process with R&D.
