Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Trademark & IP Law Paralegal to support a U.S. law firm from a remote France location. You will manage trademark prosecution, portfolio maintenance, and filings with the USPTO while coordinating with U.S. attorneys.

The role requires 5+ years in IP/paralegal work, hands-on USPTO experience, and strong English communication. This long-term remote position offers flexible hours aligned with U.S. business times.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional paralegal experience.
• At least 2 years working with a U.S. trademark or IP law firm.
• Hands-on experience with U.S. trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
• Experience preparing and filing trademark applications, amendments, renewals, and post-registration maintenance documents.
• Experience with USPTO and TEAS.
• Strong understanding of trademark filing requirements, prosecution procedures, and deadlines.
• Experience maintaining trademark docketing systems and IP portfolios.
• Experience assisting with USPTO Office Action responses.
• Familiarity with TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or cloud tools.

Responsibilities

• Trademark Prosecution and Filings: Prepare and submit U.S. trademark applications, amendments, renewals, declarations of use, assignments, and other USPTO filings.
• Prepare and file Statements of Use, Amendments to Allege Use, and post-registration maintenance documents under Sections 8, 9, and 15.
• Assist attorneys with USPTO Office Action responses by gathering supporting evidence and organizing materials.
• Trademark Portfolio Management: Monitor application status, deadlines, and renewals.
• Maintain trademark docketing systems and calendar critical deadlines.
• Prepare trademark watch reports and monitor potentially conflicting marks.
• Maintain digital case files and IP portfolios in case management systems.
• Legal Research and Dispute Support: Conduct preliminary trademark searches and organize findings.
• Assist with TTAB oppositions and cancellations.
• Support copyright registrations and IP filings.
• Conduct legal research on IP matters.
• Client and International Coordination: Communicate with clients to collect information and documents.
• Prepare assignment documents and related legal correspondence.
• Coordinate with foreign associates on global portfolios.
• Use firm systems following procedures.
