Job summary

HyLight is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and integrate embedded electronic systems for the HyLighter airship. You will own hardware lifecycle from PCB design to system integration, ensuring lightweight, reliable hardware for flight in real-world conditions.

You will work with software and mechanical teams, iterate quickly, and contribute from day one with a strong emphasis on ownership, EMI/EMC, and aerospace constraints.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, routing, and testing custom PCBs.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, and power electronics.
• Proficiency with lab equipment and SMD soldering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCBs from schematic to layout for HyLighter hardware.
• Integrate avionics, sensors, and power systems with mechanical teams.
• Draft test procedures and validate hardware under flight-like conditions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless interfaces.
