Backstory seeks a Senior Manager of Demand Generation to own how buyers find us and convert into pipeline. This AI-first marketing seat blends strategy and hands-on execution across paid media, SEO, and lifecycle nurturing, partnering with the SVP of Marketing to hit an enterprise pipeline target.

You will manage paid search, social, display, ABM, and AI-driven discovery across engines like Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and other channels, building automated systems to scale

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Demand Generation / Growth Marketing at a high-growth B2B SaaS or enterprise AI startup.
• AI-Forward Operator: proficient with AI tools and automation in campaign ops.
• Proven pipeline ownership and end-to-end paid digital budget management.
• Full-funnel & lifecycle mastery across paid performance, CRO, and nurture.
• Data & attribution fluency with CRM/MAP reporting.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product Marketing, Creatives, and Sales.

Responsibilities

• Own paid acquisition and performance marketing across search, social, display, and ABM.
• Manage agency partners and optimize campaign performance for pipeline and CAC.
• Lead SEO and AI-driven discovery across Google and AI engines.
• Accelerate model visibility and competitive recommendations through AI channels.
• Build AI-powered campaign automation to scale enrichment and personalization.
• Own web performance and CRO to increase qualified conversions and pipeline.
• Lead lifecycle nurture and funnel optimization from MQL to Opportunity.
• Co-own integrated campaign strategy and measure impact with mult touches.
