Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer, Orchestration, based in France. You will design and implement core backend services powering high-performance distributed systems and complex payment workflows.

This remote role offers a globally distributed team, autonomy to shape technical solutions, and a strong focus on testing, code reviews, and maintainable software to support developers and integration partners.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing backend services for distributed systems.
• Experience with backend programming languages; Python is advantageous.
• Strong communication and ability to work autonomously in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services for high-performance distributed systems.
• Take ownership of key technical decisions balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability and delivery speed.
• Build and optimize backend architecture to support product growth.
• Write clean, well-tested code following engineering standards.
• Apply test-driven and behavior-driven development where appropriate.
• Develop and improve frameworks, tools, and workflows for integrations with customers and partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with user and business needs.
• Conduct code reviews and share technical knowledge to improve practices.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for knowledge sharing.
