Jobgether is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Leaning) focused on payments in France. You will build payment infrastructure powering an AI platform, handling billing, pricing, and usage metering across self-service and enterprise.

You will work with Finance, Tax, Product, Growth, and Sales to ensure compliance, reliability, and scalable solutions. This remote role offers significant ownership and impact on millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Strong Python expertise and ability to build reliable software.
• Backend development experience for production systems.
• Solid understanding of APIs, cloud infra, and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment and billing systems for transactions.
• Improve usage-tracking and metering to measure customer activity with low latency.
• Lead migration and modernization of pricing and usage-processing infra.
• Enhance payment experiences by enabling upgrades and multi-provider support.
• Collaborate with Finance and Tax for compliance and reporting.
• Partner with Product and Growth to implement pricing changes.
• Investigate and resolve complex billing issues from data and logs.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and backend services.
• Plan migrations with minimal disruption and backward compatibility.
• Maintain testing, security, observability and reliability.
