Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with Backend Leaning in France to design and evolve payment infrastructure powering billing, usage tracking, and pricing for self-service and enterprise customers.

You will own critical payment systems, build scalable APIs, and collaborate with Finance, Tax, Product, Growth, and Sales to deliver reliable financial operations. This is a remote-first role with international opportunities across Europe.

Qualifications

• Strong Python expertise and maintainable backend software design.
• Back-end engineering experience with production systems.
• Knowledge of APIs, cloud infra, storage, and data structures.
• Solid testing and security fundamentals for production readiness.
• Ability to debug complex issues by analyzing logs and behavior.
• Capacity to understand large codebases and legacy components.
• Careful handling of payments, pricing, and revenue data.
• Experience planning safe migrations and reliability improvements.
• Strong ownership and problem-solving in challenging contexts.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams.
• Open-source contributions or project work demonstrate capability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment and billing systems for transactions and revenue ops.
• Build usage-tracking and metering to measure customer activity with low latency.
• Modernize pricing and usage processing infrastructure with streaming services.
• Improve payment experiences across entities and integrate new providers.
• Collaborate with Finance and Tax on compliance and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with Product and Growth to support pricing experiments.
• Diagnose and resolve billing issues by root-cause analysis.
• Create secure, scalable APIs and backend services.
• Plan migrations with backward compatibility and minimal disruption.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust payment solutions.
• Maintain testing, security, observability, and reliability standards.
