Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Go) for a remote position in France. You will design and build scalable backend services for an energy trading platform, using Go and AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while upholding strict engineering standards.

You will mentor peers, contribute to system architecture, and collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact features.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend development with architecture responsibility.
• Go expertise; Rust experience is a plus.
• Experience optimizing high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Strong database design, query optimization, and data access.
• Solid distributed systems, concurrency, and scalable data processing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows.
• Experience with TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance.
• Hands-on with containers, Kubernetes and cloud-native infra.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for a high-uptake platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks for AI and humans.
• Review PRs from humans and AI agents, ensuring quality and standards.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and stakeholders on critical features.
• Promote TDD and maintain automated test coverage within CI/CD.
• Design and optimize database schemas across relational, KV, and time-series stores.
• Apply secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities in systems.
• Monitor latency, throughput, and resource usage for demanding workloads.
• Contribute to distributed system architecture and reliability at scale.
• Mentor teammates and share engineering best practices.
