Mistral.ai in Paris (or London) is seeking a Senior Commercial Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team, focusing on contracts and commercial topics. You will draft, negotiate and tailor agreements to enable deal making and AI-driven revenue.

You will supervise the EMEA legal work, develop scalable resources for the GTM teams and provide strategic guidance on AI regulation, data privacy and IP. A master’s in law and 8–10 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master degree in law; bar admission a plus; experience in a fast-growing environment.
• 8–10 years of relevant legal experience in technology or AI-focused environments.
• Knowledge of AI, data privacy, IP, contract law and regulatory compliance.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; business oriented.
• International mindset and adaptability; independent yet collaborative.
• Ethical awareness in AI, fairness, transparency and accountability.

Responsabilités

• Supervise the EMEA commercial legal team: case monitoring and escalation.
• Develop structural resources for the commercial legal team and GTM stakeholders.
• Draft, update and provide strategic advice on a wide range of AI-related contracts.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, partners and customers.
• Stay updated on AI regulatory developments and translate into contract changes.
• Provide training and support on AI legal and contract negotiation matters.
