Mistral.ai in Paris is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Legal team and focus on contracts and commercial topics related to AI solutions. The role reports to the Director, Commercial Legal Affairs based in Paris, with a team across Paris and Palo Alto.

You will draft and negotiate AI-related service agreements, advise on regulatory compliance, data privacy, IP and liability issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable safe and compliant deployment of AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in law required; bar admission a plus.
• 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably in tech or AI-focused environments.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, IP, contract law and regulatory compliance.

Responsabilités

• Draft and provide strategic advice on AI-related contracts and service agreements.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, partners, customers and other stakeholders.
• Stay updated on AI regulatory developments and translate them into contract terms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance in AI deployments.
• Provide training and guidance on legal and compliance matters related to AI and contract negotiations.
• Handle other legal topics as needed (labor law, corporate, competition law).
