IXO Labs seeks a Remote Part-time role to write rubrics for high-school coursework and develop example student responses at multiple proficiency levels. You will explain common misconceptions and create guided-inquiry materials to support learning.

The work is asynchronous, approximately ten hours per week, with senior-rate opportunities for advanced experts. Prior experience in rubric design and educational AI evaluation is essential.

Your work at IXO

Create IXO assessment materials that reflect demanding, well-designed high-school coursework. Your work should reveal the reasoning behind a response and the support a learner needs to improve.

Responsibilities

• Write detailed rubrics for essays, assignments, problem sets and multi-step reasoning.
• Produce example student responses at different proficiency levels, with targeted feedback.
• Explain misconceptions, scaffolding methods and instructional strategies in short research briefs.
• Develop guided inquiry, reading tasks and step-by-step problem-solving materials.
• Evaluate generated work for reasoning, organization, clarity and sound pedagogy.

Required experience and preparation

You need at least two years of high-school teaching, tutoring or curriculum development, with practical command of rubric design and assessment standards. Experience judging student work and explaining feedback is required, along with an interest in educational AI evaluation.

Preferred experience

AP/IB or standards-aligned curriculum work, instructional design, literacy development and competition coaching are useful. A degree in education, English, mathematics, science, history or a related field is preferred.

Deliverables and engagement

Deliverables include rubrics, examples at multiple levels, instructional materials, short briefs and evaluations. Work is remote and asynchronous, with approximately ten hours per week as a planning guide. A separately agreed senior track may be available for advanced specialist work.

Pay is $45 • $75/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.

A separate senior rate starts at $130/hr, conditional on advanced expertise and the agreed assignment. IXO will confirm the actual rate before work starts.
