ixolabs.ai seeks specialists to evaluate precise 3D geometry reconstructed from dimensioned mechanical drawings. You will produce reproducible geometry and document evidence supporting reliable assessments.

Remote assignments, about 15 hours per week, with pay per completed task in USD. You will use Python and CAD tools to interpret drawings, build geometry, export STEP solids, and verify topology, volume, and inertia against specifications.

IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate precise 3D geometry reconstructed from dimensioned mechanical drawings. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Work you will do

• Interpret a schematic's dimensions and relationships, then decompose the part into reproducible geometric features.
• Use Python and suitable CAD tools to construct curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers and Boolean operations.
• Export a watertight STEP solid and check topology, dimensions, volume, surface area and inertia against the specification.
• Investigate small geometric discrepancies and document a solution that runs in a clean environment.

Required background and routes

• Strong Python, practical CAD/computational geometry, accurate spatial reasoning and the ability to interpret dimensioned drawings and diagnose model defects.
• Transferable experience from tools such as OpenCascade, build123d, CadQuery, trimesh, FreeCAD, Onshape, Fusion 360 or SolidWorks is suitable; no one package, degree or experience duration is mandatory.

Deliverables: Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule: Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability planning can include 15 hours per week depending on the track. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.
