ixolabs.ai is seeking a remote mechanical-engineering specialist to evaluate advanced problems with rigorous solutions. Your work will be technical, focusing on identifying substantive errors and providing evidence-based assessments.

You will author tasks involving design, structural or thermal analysis, vibration and mechanical R&D; check FEM results, hand calculations and experimental data against ASME practices; deliver reference solutions and clear explanations.

Qualifications

• Requires a mechanical master's/doctorate or a bachelor's with substantial industrial experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASME BPVC and design-for-reliability.
• Experience with hand calculations, FEM and experimental checks.

IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate advanced mechanical-engineering problems with technically rigorous solutions. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Work you will do

• Author tasks involving design, structural or thermal analysis, vibration and mechanical R&D.
• Check finite-element results, hand calculations and experimental evidence against the physical assumptions and relevant ASME practices.
• Provide reference solutions, grading criteria and clear explanations that distinguish a viable engineering answer from an attractive but flawed one.

Preferred background

• A mechanical master's/doctorate, or a mechanical bachelor's with at least eight relevant industrial years; at least five hands-on years in design, analysis or R&D.
• Strong mechanics, thermodynamics, FEA, vibration and structural analysis, with evidence of rigorous problem authorship, technical recognition or equivalent engineering achievement.
• ASME BPVC/code knowledge and design-for-reliability; combine hand calculations, finite elements and experimental checks. ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, CAD and manufacturing R&D experience are useful.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.
