IXO seeks a dedicated educator to develop instructional cases that blend scientific accuracy with clear classroom explanations and investigations. You will craft scenarios, explanations, and reference answers, ensuring alignment with safety and educational standards.

Remote, asynchronous work with a commitment of at least ten hours per week. Pay ranges from $50 to $80 per hour in USD, with scope and schedule agreed before assignment starts.

Qualifications

• A teaching license or certification with a science endorsement.
• Two years of classroom science teaching.
• Depth in biology, chemistry, physics or earth science.
• Clear written English and availability for at least ten hours per week.

Develop IXO instructional cases that combine scientific accuracy with safe, effective classroom explanation and investigation.

Responsibilities

• Write cases involving experiments, scientific explanations and common misconceptions.
• Write reference answers explaining the instructional reasoning and relevant evidence.
• Assess both scientific reasoning and the safety of proposed demonstrations or labs.
• Grade generated material against explicit criteria and explain consequential errors.
• Refine the scenario and rubric so another educator can apply the same standard.

Required experience and preparation

A teaching license or certification with a science endorsement, two years of classroom science teaching, and depth in biology, chemistry, physics or earth science. Clear written English and availability for at least ten hours per week are required.

Preferred experience

AP, IB or equivalent courses, inquiry-based lab design, science fairs or student-research mentoring.

Deliverables and engagement

Deliverables include scenario briefs, reference responses, evaluation criteria and documented model-output reviews. Work is remote and asynchronous; IXO will agree the scope and schedule before assignments begin.

Pay is $50 $80/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.
