Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Accountant (US GAAP) for a remote role based in France. You will work with US-based CPA practices, oversee general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting, using AI-powered tools to improve efficiency.

The role requires 7+ years of accounting experience, US GAAP expertise, and strong English; CPA/CA/ACCA/SAICA preferred. This is a fully remote, flexible option engagement with ongoing client engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional accounting experience.
• At least 2 most recent years in a US accounting firm or CPA practice.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS-only experience not accepted.
• CPA/CA/ACCA/SAICA or equivalent designation preferred.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and spoken English with US-based clients.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, trial balance).
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial records and reporting.
• Support tax filings and regulatory compliance across entities.
• Communicate with US-based clients to address accounting questions.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows.
