Job summary

Jobgether SRL in France seeks an Accountant (m/f/d) to support German entities within an international software group. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting, month‑end close, and VAT filings under HGB, collaborating with external advisors in a fully remote European team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in German accounting, ERP experience (NetSuite), strong Excel skills, and bilingual EN/DE abilities. Excellent growth within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in professional accounting with German practices (HGB) and tax rules.
• Experience in software/ SaaS industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting, reconciliations, JEs and close.
• Knowledge of German VAT, payroll tax declarations and reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and financial data analysis.
• NetSuite or similar ERP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting for German entities, ensuring accuracy.
• Support monthly and yearly close, journals, and analyses.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
• Process supplier payments and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare VAT filings (UStVA) and payroll tax declarations with advisors.
• Assist with annual financial statements and audits under HGB.
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting workflows.
• Produce KPIs and management reports for decision making.
• Support variance analysis and budgeting processes.
• Collaborate with finance, tax advisors, and payroll providers remotely.
