Job summary

Horizon Trading Solutions (HTS) is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to bring accounting in-house, strengthen compliance with international standards, and lead ERP and AI-enabled improvements across the group.

This hands-on role combines general ledger ownership with system implementation, cross-border reporting, and close collaboration with international stakeholders. An ideally located Paris office and flexible remote options are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with GL accounting and month-end/year-end closes.
• Experience with external accountants and auditors; SaaS experience a plus.
• ERP implementation experience.
• Strong Excel and data handling; familiarity with reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of internalizing accounting from external accountants and manage phased handover.
• Improve accuracy and consistency of accounting records and GL classifications.
• Strengthen monthly, quarterly and annual closing schedules and journal entries.
• Establish balance-sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop understanding of accounts for reliable financial analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate statutory accounts, tax filings and audits with external advisors.
