Job summary

MasterSearch Limited is seeking a Customer Support / Service Engineer to join our European service team. The role is remote when not on customer sites, with Grenoble as a base and occasional travel to other European countries.

You will provide technical support for automation systems, perform on-site servicing in cleanrooms, and act as the main customer contact for technical issues. Strong problem-solving and electromechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ideally degree qualified or diploma in a technical discipline.
• Natural problem solver with attention to detail.
• Strong electromechanical skills and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience with automated semiconductor technology is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professional language.
• Ability to work independently and in a European service team.
• Full driving licence and valid passport; travel within EU required.
• Willingness to travel; mostly local with EU travel possible (~30%).
• Fluent in English; good French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers remotely on operations and maintenance.
• Perform on-site servicing, installation and qualification of products, mainly in cleanrooms.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for technical/service issues.
• Run test procedures to verify product performance and diagnose installation problems.
• Implement upgrades and hardware/software change orders.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues onsite and coordinate with factory.
• Complete reports for traceability and escalation triggers, capturing corrective actions.
• Maintain ongoing focus on delivering high-quality customer support.
