Applied Materials in Bernin, France is seeking an Installation Engineer to support European regions. You will install, maintain and upgrade semiconductor production equipment, coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless commissioning.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, project management, and the ability to travel up to 75% across Europe. A master’s degree and fluent English are expected; MS Office skills are a must. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Master degree with technical background (mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar).
• Position open to junior profiles.
• Troubleshooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical issues during system installation.
• Ability to communicate daily pass-downs and equipment status reports.
• Project management skills to control installation project within budget, timeline and installation quality requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
• The position requires extensive travelling throughout Europe (75% of the time).
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Perform independently installation tasks (mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations), from the integration to the inspection of the tools including troubleshooting in case of issues.
• Follow all checklists and procedures and ensure correct procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work.
• Test equipment with assistance from senior engineers, existing documentation and diagnostic techniques.
• Respond to factory issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and costs.
• Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked and non-conformances.
• Adhere to the security policy and quality standards of Applied Materials and its customers.
