CritPt is recruiting researchers to tackle research-level physics problems in specialized subfields. You will engage with areas such as disordered spin models, entanglement entropy, and conformal field theory, producing fully verifiable results with written reasoning.

We expect a PhD in statistical or mathematical physics, a demonstrable publication record, and proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter. This is a remote, 10-hour-per-week role with pay ranging from $80 to $110 per hour.

Qualifications

• PhD in statistical physics or mathematical physics is required.
• Publications with arXiv IDs or DOIs checked; strong author record preferred.
• Proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter required; English at B2+.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to research-level physics problems in your subfield.
• Produce write-ups with rigorous reasoning so others can verify work.
• Collaborate to match to one of the five specified research areas.
