CritPt is a public physics benchmark for frontier AI research, seeking researchers to work on domain-specific problems. You will publish, review, and audit investigations with complete reasoning so colleagues can verify results.

Remote, part-time assignments align with an 8–10 week window. Applicants should have a PhD in statistical or mathematical physics, demonstrable publications on the targeted phenomena, and proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy, Jupyter, and VS Code.

Qualifications

• PhD in statistical physics, mathematical physics or a closely related field.
• Three to five representative papers with arXiv IDs or DOIs, ideally from the last five years.
• Publications must be on the specific phenomenon described, not adjacent topics.
• Proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter; familiarity with a VS Code extension is useful.
• English language proficiency at B2 or above.
