Mercor's CritPt project invites researchers to work on research-level physics problems in their subfield. Depending on publication record, you may create problems, solve them, review completed work, or audit it, with written reasoning required for every assignment.

This is a remote, asynchronous engagement with no fixed hours, typically involving about 10 hours per week over an 8–10 week window. Pay ranges from $80 to $110 per hour, set by depth of subdomain match.

Qualifications

• PhD in atomic, molecular or optical physics or closely related field.
• Publications demonstrating a specific phenomenon within the last five years.
• Three to five representative papers with arXiv IDs or DOIs, first author preferred.
• Proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter.

Responsabilités
