Obsidian is seeking researchers for a remote, part-time engagement (10 hours/week) across an 8 to 10 week window. You will work on research-grade physics problems in a selected subfield, producing complete written reasoning for each assignment to ensure verifiability.

The role emphasizes publication-backed expertise and strong command of LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter, with a flexible, asynchronous setup and competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

• PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics or mathematics required.
• English at B2 or above with strong written reasoning.
• Proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter.

Responsabilités

• Produce complete written reasoning for each assignment to allow independent verification.
• Contribute to matching and onboarding by documenting area fit and relevant publications.
