Obsidian is looking for researchers to tackle research-grade physics problems in their own subfield. Depending on your publication record, you may create problems, solve them, review completed work, or audit it.

This is research-grade work done remotely with no fixed hours and a focus on clear written reasoning. You should hold a PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics or mathematics, with published work on the specific phenomenon.

Qualifications

• PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics or mathematics.
• Published work on the specified phenomenon, not adjacent areas.
• Verifiable publication record with representative papers.
• Proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter.
• English at B2 or above, including written reasoning.

Responsabilités

• Create problems, solve them, review completed work, or audit it depending on your publication record.
• Provide clear, written reasoning so others can verify your work.
