IXO is seeking a German-audit QA specialist to review German speech data against transcripts in two related workflows. You will review annotations and explain each decision with clear English explanations, presenting critical defects first.

You will verify word boundaries against audio, adjust timing, split or merge segments, insert missing words, and remove empty segments where needed, applying consistent rubrics to distinguish genuine uncertainty from annotation errors. Remote work available.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native German (Germany variety)
• Strong English reading and writing required for rulebooks, error codes and explanations
• Experience in linguistics, phonetics or QA is helpful

Responsabilités

• Compare human or AI speech with its transcript and apply every relevant error category.
• Assign a pass/fail result with a clear English explanation, presenting critical defects first.
• Check the beginning and end of each word segment against the audio.
• Correct timing, split or combine segments, insert missing words or remove empty segments where appropriate.
• Distinguish genuine acoustic uncertainty from an annotation error, applying the written rules consistently.
