Job summary

MyVA Support (MyVAS) is seeking an Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist for a 100% remote role. The position targets LATAM-based candidates fluent in Spanish and English, supporting a U.S.-based medical practice.

You will verify eligibility, obtain authorizations, and help ensure smooth patient financial experiences while coordinating with on-site teams as needed. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in insurance verification, familiarity with CPT codes, and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance verification within a medical office.
• Experience with referrals and prior authorization processes.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology including CPT codes.
• Hands-on experience with insurance portals and verification platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, remote setting.
• Strong teamwork and professional communication skills, with a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for next-day patients across multiple carriers.
• Confirm active coverage and determine patient financial responsibility (copays, deductibles, coinsurance).
• Obtain referrals and prior authorizations from physicians and insurance companies.
• Navigate health plan portals and verification platforms efficiently.
• Collect payments for telehealth visits when applicable.
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure patient readiness and prevent delays.
• Support general administrative duties as needed.
• Collaborate with other verification specialists and on-site staff.
