Job summary

Alma is hiring an experienced Backend Engineer to build the payment infrastructure of tomorrow. You will design and develop APIs powering payments for thousands of merchants and millions of consumers across Europe, while raising the bar on quality, security, and performance.

You will lead reliability, own architecture decisions, and collaborate with Product and tech leaders to scale our platform in a regulated fintech environment across Europe. Paris or remote from France options available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering on large-scale systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and relational databases.
• Fluency in French with good English.
• Methodical, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build the payment infrastructure of tomorrow.
