Skyborn Renewables in Paris is seeking a Public Affairs Manager to cover maternity leave for 1 year. You will monitor EU and national policy developments affecting offshore wind and the energy transition, and help develop strategic public affairs plans aligned with Skyborn's objectives.

The role requires a university degree in political science or related field, at least 4 years in public affairs, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• University degree in Political Science, European Studies, Public Policy, Law, Economics, or related field.
• At least 4 years’ experience in public affairs or government relations.
• Strong understanding of EU institutions and energy policy.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.

Responsabilités

• Policy Monitoring & Intelligence: Monitor political, regulatory and legislative developments at EU and national level relevant to offshore wind and the energy transition.
• Support the development and execution of public affairs strategies aligned with Skyborn's objectives.
• Lead the preparation of position papers and executive briefings for governance and policy discussions.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen Skyborn's visibility and advocacy across European markets.
• Collaborate with Communications to align policy advocacy with external communications.

Your future tasks:

• Policy Monitoring & Intelligence: Monitor political, regulatory and legislative developments at EU and national level relevant to offshore wind and the broader energy transition.
• Support the development and execution of public affairs strategies: Develop and implement public affairs strategies aligned with Skyborn's business objectives.
• Support the preparation of position papers: Lead the preparation of position papers, consultation responses and executive briefings.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen visibility: Drive Skyborn's external positioning and advocacy across key European markets.
• Work closely with the Communications team: Partner with the Communications team to align policy advocacy with external communications and thought leadership.

Your profile:

• University degree in Political Science, European Studies, Public Policy, Law, Economics, International Relations or another relevant discipline.
• At least 4 years professional experience in public affairs, government relations, public policy, political advisory, an industry association or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of EU institutions, European policymaking and energy policy, ideally with experience in the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with policymakers, public authorities and industry stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex political and regulatory developments into practical business insights.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to represent the company externally.
• Self-motivated, well‑organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment.
• A collaborative team player who enjoys working across functions and cultures.
