wpd windmanager, based in Arras, France, seeks a Field Operations Manager to lead all field activities on wind and solar assets. The role reports to the Technical Director and oversees a small team of technicians responsible for inspections, interventions and performance monitoring.

You will ensure contractual, regulatory and HSE compliance, contribute to recruitment and onboarding, and help develop new technical services to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• Ability to work at height and hold H2V/B2V electrical authorization.
• Valid Category B driving licence is required.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage and support the development of the Field Operations team.
• Plan and supervise site inspections, drone blade inspections and technical interventions.
• Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with contractual, regulatory and HSE requirements.
• Participate in the recruitment, onboarding and development of team members.
• Contribute to the commercial development of wpd windmanager's field activities by identifying and developing new technical services.
• Daily monitoring of wind and solar farms (alarms, failures, underperformance and safety-related issues).
• Monitor technical contracts (TSA, O&M, EPC, etc.) and their associated KPIs (availability, performance ratio, etc.).
• Prepare technical reports for investors, banks and PPA counterparties.

As part of its continued growth, wpd windmanager is strengthening its technical team and is looking for a Field Operations Manager to lead all field activities carried out on wind and solar farms.

The position is based in Arras, France. Significant experience in renewable asset operations and technical team management is highly desirable.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH US

Reporting to the Technical Director, you lead the Field Operations team responsible for site inspections, technical interventions and field activities across wind and solar assets operated by wpd windmanager.

• Lead, manage and support the development of the Field Operations team
• Plan and supervise site inspections, drone blade inspections and technical interventions

YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE THESE STRENGTHS TO US

Technical Skills

• Experience in the operation of wind and/or solar power plants
• Excellent knowledge of wind turbine technologies (Vestas, Enercon, Nordex and Senvion) and photovoltaic systems
• Ability to analyse asset performance and identify improvement opportunities

Personal Skills

• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a small team of four technicians
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and proactive mindset
• Strong team spirit and collaborative approach

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent) or successful experience in a similar position
• Ability to work at height, H2V/B2V electrical authorization and valid Category B driving licence
