Job summary

Scaleway is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to provide technical leadership across our SRE community, defining standards and guiding architecture for reliability at scale. You will influence multiple teams in a highly distributed cloud environment.

The role spans our Elements/Public Cloud platform, focusing on resilience, observability, and high-load systems, with a collaborative, international team and hybrid work possibilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar
• Proven ability to lead across multiple engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of distributed, high-load cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in observability and incident response
• Ability to define and promote standards across large teams

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the SRE organization
• Collaborate with Lead SREs to solve complex challenges
• Define and promote SRE standards and principles
• Tackle large-scale architectural challenges in cloud infrastructure
• Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, and performance
• Lead monitoring and production readiness efforts
• Identify systemic risks and tech debt and drive fixes
• Bridge SRE, Infrastructure and Engineering teams on cross-functional topics
• Provide guidance on high-load/distributed systems
• Influence large-scale technical initiatives across products
