Scaleway is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to provide technical leadership across our SRE community, shaping standards, architecture and practices to ensure reliability, performance and scalability of our sovereign cloud platform.

You will work at a highly transversal level, influencing decisions across multiple teams and tackling complex infrastructure challenges, while guiding SREs and production engineers in a fast-growing, international environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or DevOps within large-scale environments.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, high-load infrastructure and cloud architectures.
• Strong understanding of observability, incident management, automation and production operations.
• A strong track record of technical leadership and influence across multiple engineering teams.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across the SRE organization.
• Partner closely with Lead SREs to solve complex technical challenges and drive engineering excellence.
• Define and promote SRE standards, best practices and technical principles across the organization.
• Tackle complex architectural challenges across large-scale, distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, performance, observability and resilience.
• Help shape our approach to monitoring, incident management and production readiness.
• Identify systemic reliability risks and technical debt across the platform and drive initiatives to address them.
• Act as a technical bridge between SRE, Infrastructure and Engineering teams on cross-functional challenges.
• Provide expert guidance on high-load and distributed systems.
• Contribute to large-scale technical initiatives impacting multiple teams and products.
• Continuously evolve our SRE practices as our infrastructure and cloud platform scale.
