Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Director of Platform Engineering to set the multi-year strategy for our platform, guide the evolution of the Internal Developer Platform, and lead a high-performing team of engineering leaders. You will own architecture, cloud, CI/CD, security, and automation initiatives to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Platform Engineering or large-scale engineering orgs.
• Proven experience leading multiple teams and developing managers and senior ICs.
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
• Deep expertise across AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, containers, IaC, CI/CD, observability, SRE, and cloud security.
• Experience designing or operating shared platforms for many teams and workloads.
• Led major platform transformations, migrations, and architectural changes.
• Ability to engage credibly with senior engineers and executives.
• Balanced judgment on standardization, autonomy, reliability, cost, and speed.

Responsabilités

• Define and own multi-year Platform Engineering strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Evolve Internal Developer Platform with self-service capabilities.
• Own direction across cloud, Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD, observability, IaC, and security.
• Lead a high-performing org of Engineering Directors, Managers, and staff engineers.
• Establish ownership, standards, governance, and measurable platform outcomes.
• Drive improvements in productivity, delivery, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure platform services are highly available and secure with proper DR.
• Embed secure-by-default, policy-as-code, and software supply-chain controls.
• Automate infrastructure, delivery, operations, and change management.
• Explore AI and agentic automation to improve operations and productivity.
• Influence broader engineering strategy and investment trade-offs.
• Oversee platform-related budgeting and capacity planning.
