Pickup Operations Leader – Last-Mile & Partners

Cainiao, the logistics arm of Alibaba Group, is scaling fast to build a best-in-class network for pick-up points across France. We seek an Operations Manager to own day-to-day pick-up operations in the territory, lead on-site teams and partner with point operators to ensure a seamless customer experience from arrival to collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of on-road management experience in pick-up operations, last mile, logistics or physical site operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage operational workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query, dashboards.
• Strong communication skills in French and English (mandatory).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, if needed.

Responsabilités

• Customer Obsessed: Ensure every pick-up meets or exceeds our service standards.
• Lead and motivate teams (on-site staff, field coordinators).
• Monitor daily operations and resolve issues in real time.
• Manage relationships with partner-operated pick-up points (shops, franchises, independent relay points).
• Track KPIs such as on-time pick-up rate, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Optimize processes, routes, and resourcing to improve performance.
• Translate business goals into actionable daily and weekly plans.
• Deliver accurate reporting to your Regional Manager, highlighting risks and proposing solutions.
