CO2 AI in Paris is seeking a People Manager to own the People function, partnering with the COO to align people strategy with business goals. You will lead development plans, coach managers, and drive HR initiatives across the company as we scale.

The role combines business partnering with HR operations, payroll, recruitment and office management. You will automate processes, implement new policies, and work with teams in Paris and remote colleagues, while ensuring French compliance and a strong

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of HR experience with genuine business partnering.
• Demonstrated autonomy in setting priorities and communicating limits.
• Experience automating or redesigning HR processes; AI familiarity not sufficient.
• Hands-on credibility across HR operations including contracts and payroll.
• Working knowledge of French employment practice: Code du travail, Syntec, ruptures conventionnelles, CSE, mutuelle and prévoyance.
• Ability to handle confidential information with reliability.
• Fluent English written and spoken; it is our working language.
• Comfort reading French employment documents; conversational French is a plus.
• Degree in HR or employment law is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Business partnering: advise managers, develop plans, coach on feedback and underperformance.
• People projects: own salary structure, onboarding, remote policy, handbook and organisation evolution.
• AI and automation: use AI to reduce manual work; Claude licence provided from day one.
• Recruitment: end-to-end hiring ~1 per month including interns; source, screen, benchmark salaries, offers.
• HR operations and payroll: full employee lifecycle, French compliance, contracts, onboarding/offboarding, payroll in Malibou.
• Office and team life: manage suppliers, equipment, and workplace events.
