Job summary

Springer Nature in Paris seeks an HR Generalist & General Affairs (GGA) to act as the first HR contact, delivering compliant advisory services across the employee lifecycle. You will support recruitment, contracts, joiners/leavers, and payroll with an external provider.

You will oversee Workday data accuracy, HR policy reviews, and collaborate with Employee Representatives to enable effective people processes in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• HR administration and advisory knowledge.
• Professional HR experience in an international environment.
• Independent and structured way of working.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
• MS-Office proficiency.
• Experience with Workday or comparable HR systems.
• Knowledge of French labour legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class HR administrative support and advisory services in France.
• Liaise with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and hiring.
• Prepare employment contracts and joiner/leaver documentation.
• Manage monthly payroll with the external provider.
• Administer time and absence management and respond to queries.
• Act as a Workday subject matter expert and maintain HR data.
• Review HR policies with stakeholders and ensure compliance.
• Maintain relationships with Employee Representatives (CSE).
• Support career development and performance processes with HR teams.
• Contribute to HR projects and general affairs management.
