ThoughtLabs Belgium in Strasbourg is seeking an experienced IT Operations specialist to provide L2 operational and application support for large-scale, mission-critical systems.

You will resolve incidents, changes, releases and events following ITIL practices, monitor system health and performance, and work with containerised environments, CI/CD pipelines, APIs and IAM technologies. Strong collaboration with security and development teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support or System Support.
• At least 2 years of L2 / second-level support experience in large-scale environments.
• Strong experience with ITIL-aligned service-management processes.
• Hands-on Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or container orchestration technologies.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and configuration-management practices.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
• Knowledge of APIs, gateways and integration technologies.
• Understanding of IAM and authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).
• Experience with databases, backups, recovery and troubleshooting.
• Security practices including patching, hardening and vulnerability remediation.

• Provide L2 operational and application support for large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Handle and resolve incidents, problems, changes, releases, events and knowledge-management activities in accordance with ITIL practices.
• Monitor system health, availability and performance using modern monitoring and observability tools.
• Perform Linux/Unix administration, troubleshooting and operational maintenance.
• Support containerised environments, including Kubernetes, Docker or equivalent technologies.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and configuration-management tools.
• Troubleshoot and support APIs, API gateways and integration services.
• Support event-driven architectures, message middleware and event-streaming platforms.
• Work with data transformation, mapping and integration processes.
• Support IAM and authentication technologies, including OAuth2, OIDC and SAML.
• Assist with database monitoring, backup, recovery and operational troubleshooting.
• Perform system hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge management and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security and other technical teams to resolve complex production issues.

Required Experience:

The ideal candidate should have:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support or System Support.
• At least 2 years of L2 / second-level support experience in large-scale or mission-critical environments.
• Strong experience working within ITIL-aligned service-management processes.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or container orchestration technologies.
