Business At Work is seeking a systems administrator to operate and maintain Linux servers, VMs, storage and networking. You will manage patching, backups, certificates and routine maintenance while troubleshooting issues across Linux, DNS, VPN and storage.

The role includes onboarding/offboarding, endpoint security and ongoing automation of repetitive tasks, using scripts and Ansible. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence, a pragmatic service orientation and strong documentation

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux administration and infrastructure operations.
• Solid networking fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience patching, backups and routine maintenance of servers and storages.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks using scripting and configuration tools.
• Proficiency with inventory control, documentation and procedural rigor.
• Familiarity with container technologies and cloud-based infrastructure controls.

What You'll Do

Operate infrastructure. Administer Linux servers, VMs, storage, networking and supporting services. Maintain systems. Handle patching, upgrades, capacity, certificates, backups and routine maintenance. Troubleshoot. Investigate Linux, network, DNS, VPN, storage and connectivity issues. Operate internal IT. Manage laptops, accounts, SaaS access, employee onboarding/offboarding and day-to-day IT support. Manage assets and access. Maintain inventories of devices, servers, software and SaaS services, and handle routine identity and access operations. Secure endpoints. Help standardize device configuration, encryption, updates and endpoint security. Support recovery. Monitor backups and participate in restore and disaster-recovery tests. Automate operations. Replace repetitive manual tasks with scripts, Ansible and other automation.

What We're Looking For

• 3–6 years in systems administration, infrastructure or IT operations
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Good networking fundamentals
• Experience operating servers and infrastructure
• Comfortable troubleshooting independently
• Experience with patching, backups and operational maintenance
• Basic Docker/container knowledge
• Experience with user, endpoint and access administration
• Rigorous with inventories, procedures and documentation
• Autonomous, pragmatic and service-oriented
• Interested in automating operations rather than maintaining manual processes
• Comfortable in documenting each incremental step of the solution
