Reboot Monkey seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for a freelance/contract role in Annecy, France. This on-site position supports mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Responsibilities include hardware installations, server racking, cabling, cross-connects, and coordination with remote NOC and client teams. 2+ years of data center or IT infra experience, strong cabling skills, and English proficiency are required; lifting 50+ lbs and own transport are

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber) and server hardware familiarity.
• Professional English communication, on-site reliability and own transportation.
• On-site, contract/freelance engagement with flexibility on scheduling.
• DCIM and ticketing systems experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
