The Meat Manager at Saver Group oversees the store's meat department, driving sales and maximizing profitability by following the merchandising plan and trimming/ preparing standard cuts. You will train associates, manage ordering, and supervise monthly inventory to uphold cleanliness and quality standards.

You will maintain cold chain integrity, ensure display appeal, and coordinate with suppliers to meet customer demand while delivering high levels of customer service and value.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment; knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine and power saw preferred.
• Experience with ordering, rotation, training, monthly inventory preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs.

Responsabilités

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures.
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers.
• Orders product based on customer’s wants and needs; review bills for proper billing.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensure meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to the policy.
• Responsible for accurate monthly inventory count and maximizing gross profit.
