EMBL Grenoble is seeking a Scientific Expert to lead the Eukaryotic Expression Facility, supporting production of recombinant proteins across insect, mammalian and protist systems for downstream analyses.

You will advise on expression systems, develop protocols, manage labs and train users, collaborating with EMBL Heidelberg and Hamburg facilities to advance structural and cellular studies.

Qualifications

• Master or PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology or related discipline.
• Proven track record in cell biology and eukaryotic expression strategies.
• Experience with construct design, expression optimisation and protein complexes.
• Experience with recombinant DNA and genome-engineering approaches.
• Strong service orientation and ability to support users.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day scientific and technical operation of the Eukaryotic Expression Facility.
• Advise users on expression systems and optimisation of constructs and lines.
• Develop, benchmark and adopt new protocols for protein production.
• Manage facilities and equipment, including cell sorter and microscopes.
• Train users and contribute to courses and educational activities.
• Maintain usage records, performance indicators and facility stats.
